"Naval Unit."

The Tamil Liberation army (LTTE) has not only grown to great heights with regard to man power, but they have also expanded themselves in every aspect of warfare and governing. The discipline and respect that it's members have both within their ranks as well as outside the army, has been paralleled by very few armies. The policies such as no smoking and drinking and other such policies have contributed to the discipline of this army, in which all it's soldiers treat each other as brothers and sisters.

The LTTE at present consists of three wings:
1. Army.
2. Navy.
3. Anti Aircraft wing.
Another major wing of the Liberation Tigers is the Black Tiger wing, which consists of members who sacrifice their own lives in suicide attacks on major military installations and that have been set up the Sinhala government, in the Tamil homeland and it's surrounding waters. The Black Tigers have shown their dedication and sacrifice to the Tamil homeland by hitting at major military installations which are, difficult to be overrun by a conventional army or would result in the loss of many soldiers.

What singles out the Liberation Tigers from other major military powers is that no soldier is provided any sort of luxury enjoyed by soldiers in other armies; neither is s/he promised anything in return for his sacrifice other than the freedom of his own people and land.
